Program Description
Inspired by Surrealist artists, students are encouraged to let go of their inhibitions so they can experiment with the concept of chance and how that can influence their creative process. Your students will explore drawing and painting techniques and gain a deeper understanding of abstract art.
Program Objectives
By the end of the Mixed Media – Taking Chances with Paint program, students will:
- Learn about the Surrealist art movement.
- Explore colour theory, frottage and painting techniques.
- Produce a painting that focuses on the theme of chance and how that can influence the creative process.
