Program Overview
Core Programs
Our core programs take place onsite at Harbourfront Centre’s 10-acre waterfront campus, giving your students the chance to explore Visual Arts, Performing Arts or Urban Studies. These programs run from September to June, with both Half-Day and Full-Day options available.
Seasonal Programs
Don’t miss out on a chance to take part in one of our Seasonal Programs – available for a limited time each school year. Spots fill up quickly, so be sure to book in advance to secure your spot.
Special Programs
Special Programs are limited-time offerings that take advantage of partner organizations, special exhibitions in our galleries, performances, festivals and other events at Harbourfront Centre.
Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Programs
Our SHSM programs provide students with a certificate for participation in a three-hour workshop, meeting the requirements set by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Contact the Registrar and our team will develop sector-specific content to ensure the workshop meets your students’ learning goals.

Co-op, Internship and Teacher Candidate Placements
As a part of the Learning team at Harbourfront Centre, School Visits hosts a number of job shadowing, co-op, internship and teacher candidate placements throughout the year. If you are interested in the arts or pursuing a job in education, consider Harbourfront Centre as your host institution! Participants will develop skills in leadership, communication, organization and teamwork and will work towards achieving goals co-created with the candidate and School Visits staff.
