Program Description

From street to stage, urban dance presents new ways to move! Drawing on different urban dance styles, students will develop their own unique dance vocabulary. 

Program Objectives

By the end of the Dance: Urban program, students will:

  • Demonstrate movement skills in urban dance forms such as break dancing, hip hop, crumping, pop and lock and house dance.
  • Work through a variety of dance exercises related to different urban dance forms and collaboratively develop choreography.
  • Gain additional exposure to the elements of dance and use a range of dance vocabulary in context.
