Program Description
In this half-day program, students will learn how block printmaking artists draw inspiration from the world around them. In class, students will design a printing plate using foam and print it using a repeat pattern to create their artwork, perfect for cards or gift wrapping.
Program Objectives
By the end of the Seasonal Program – Block Printing program, students will:
- Discover the rich history of block printing by examining different patterns and motifs from around the world.
- Explore shape and pattern to create a printing plate using foam.
- Create a piece of artwork by using a repeat pattern.
