Program Description
Students gain an understanding of the printmaking process and insight into how artists draw inspiration from the world around them. With the support of our Artist Educators, students explore the collograph printmaking process by collaging an imaginary animal using textured materials, then ink and print at least one image!
Program Objectives
By the end of the Printmaking – Young Collograph program, students will:
- Discover the history of printmaking examining works by prominent artists.
- Explore shape, texture and pattern to create a relief printing plate.
- Produce at least one colourful print.
