Program Description
Students will explore what makes contemporary dance unique and relevant. Through improvisation and choreographic exercises, students will expand their understanding of the elements of dance to create a collaborative composition.
Program Objectives
By the end of the Dance – Contemporary program, students will:
- Gain an understanding of contemporary dance through the elements of dance.
- Engage in improvisation exercises as a starting point for choreography.
- Collaborate with peers to create a short contemporary dance composition.
