Program Description
In this workshop, students will work with one of our Educators to explore the fundamental techniques of ceramics: slab, pinch pot and coil. Students will be encouraged to combine two or more shapes to create their own clay sculpture.
Program Objectives
By the end of the Clay – Sculptures program, students will:
- View historical and contemporary examples of sculptures.
- Explore fundamental hand-building techniques of ceramics: pinch pot, slab and coil.
- Create their own sculpture using different hand-building techniques.
