Avery Raquel is a Canadian alternative soul artist whose music fuses vintage soul, R&B, jazz and pop into a modern, emotionally resonant sound. With a voice that defies her age and songwriting that blends vulnerability with maturity, Raquel delivers a refreshing take on soul-infused storytelling. Her 2022 self-titled album, Avery Raquel, marked a bold leap into alternative soul, characterized by infectious grooves, lush harmonies and honest lyrics. Debuting at #5 on the Canadian iTunes Top 200 R&B/Soul chart, the album’s success was further cemented when five of its tracks were finalists in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition.
Raquel released her new EP, Scratching at the Surface, in the spring of 2024, and more recently, her latest single, “Hard To Stay,” in April 2025. She has graced stages across North America and Europe, including renowned music festivals, iconic clubs and main-stage performing arts centres. She has shared stages with artists such as David Clayton-Thomas and Sean Jones and worked with artists and producers like Tyler Shaw and Christian Lohr (Joss Stone).
