Summer Seasonal Slip

Summer season slip occupancy term is normally May 1 to October 15. It should be noted that in 2020, the winter term was extended and the summer term shortened as a result of Government emergency orders. The term therefore is subject to change depending on COVID-19 status.

Additionally, in 2020 fewer slips than anticipated were sold as a result of public health guidelines regarding physical distancing and use of shared facilities. Agreements will be amended or cancelled should public health guidelines require fewer slips to be used.

Winter Seasonal Slip

Winter seasonal slip occupancy is from approximately October 26 to April 26.

Previous summer or winter tenants are invited to apply in advance of the general public for the upcoming season.

Seasonal Slip Application Review Process

All applications are reviewed on a first come, first evaluated basis. Harbourfront Centre has the right to accept or decline any applicant. No slip is guaranteed.

All applicants are placed on a Waiting List until slip assignments are confirmed in writing via email, deposits paid and insurance submitted. All names are added to the electronic waiting list on a chronological basis upon submission. Only electronic form submission applications will be considered. Verbal or emailed requests will not be considered.

Depending on the timing of applicant’s submission, slip availability may or may not be known. If an appropriate slip becomes available for your sized boat (both length and beam apply) you will be contacted and given further instruction. All new applicants will be required to meet with marina staff for an interview. Harbourfront Centre may contact your previous marina or yacht club for both character and financial references.

Historically, only a small number of slips become available at either marina each season for new applicants due to the popularity of our convenient downtown location and smaller size of the marinas.

Both of our marinas were primarily designed for smaller sized boats. Channel and slip widths are engineered for smaller vessels. We regret that we are not able to accommodate many larger boats. If slips are released they will likely be for boats under 32 feet in length with beams of less than 11 feet as this is the size of slip or smaller that make up the majority of each marina.

The use of Harbourfront Centre properties is for pleasure craft only. The use of our managed properties for the boarding or discharge of passengers for any commercial purpose is forbidden and will be reported to Police, Ports Toronto and Transport Canada Marine Safety. Those deemed to be operating illegally or fail to comply with Harbourfront Centre policies and procedures or the terms and conditions in our marina agreement including City of Toronto By-laws will be banned from the site and issued trespass notices.
