Harbourfront Centre manages multiple indoor and outdoor venues (such as The Fleck @ Harbourfront Centre Theatre, the Studio Theatre, The Concert Stage, central public spaces and squares) and various alternative multi-purpose spaces for live programming, presentations, workshops, school classes, camps, etc., with events and activities taking place year-round!

We are currently seeking several service-oriented, reliable and can-do Audience Services Supervisors,Ticketing to oversee the daily operation of the box office, as well as to supervise and motivate a team of Audience Services Representatives to deliver top notch service and support to our patrons and the visiting public.

 

Position Title: Audience Services Supervisor,Ticketing

Department: Audience Experience

Reporting To: Manager, Audience Experience

Number of Vacancies: 2-3

Employment Type: Part-time/Casual

Hours of Work: Hours of work are based on event and programming need. When scheduled to work, work shifts may include daytime, evening, weekend or holiday hours, as such a flexible availability is required

Rate of Pay: $24.04 per hour

Location: On-site at our lakeside campus in downtown Toronto

 

Duties

  • Oversee the Box Office front-line team, ensuring that customers are provided with exceptional service and that transactions, processes, protocols, and procedures are accurately followed using the appropriate tools and platforms.
  • Support, supervise, organize, and coordinate the workload and services provided by the Box Office front-line team on a day-to-day basis and ensure that they are kept up to date with internal communications.
  • Train and coach the box office front-line team, and supervise the activities of the ticket sellers in the satellite Box Offices and manage Will Call. Monitor staff performance to ensure high levels of customer service are being maintained.
  • Provide professional resolution of escalated customer service issues.
  • Perform clerical, administrative, and financial functions associated with event promotion, ticket sales and other activities as required.
  • Assist with the implementation of Box Office policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive and proactive approach to ticketing activities and a strong commitment to superior customer service.
  • Perform cash control, balancing and related administrative functions.
  • Assist as needed with ticket processing and in-person ticket sales.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a sales, financial, or events environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience with computers and an ability to develop a comprehensive understanding and expertise with event software and customer relation management systems. Experience using ticketing software is ideal and preferred.
  • Previous experience with cash management and point of sales systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication and de-escalation abilities.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a lot of initiative.
  • Ability to comfortably lift fifteen (15) to twenty (20) pounds of weight to help support operational needs.
  • Ability to comfortably work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Availability and flexibility to support call centre opening and closing times, working shifts that can including weekday and weekend day time and evening hours, as well as holidays to support events.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada on an ongoing basis.
  • This role is site-based at our lakeside campus in downtown Toronto.
