Get ready to laugh, Toronto! Award-winning comedian and finalist of The Great Canadian Laugh-Off, Trixx returns to Harbourfront Centre for two nights of pure, unfiltered hilarity. Keeping with his tradition of bringing fresh talent to Toronto, Trixx is joined in stage by North America’s top comedic talent Jay Reid, Schoen Favorite and Paris Sashay — all performing in Canada for the very first time — plus special guest celebrity comic Gina Yashere, lighting up night two with her unmistakable wit.

On Night One, we welcome Trixx, Paris Sashay and Schoen Favorite to the stage, then on Night Two, Trixx and Favorite will be joined by Jay Reid and Gina Yashere. From sharp-witted storytelling to boundary-pushing social commentary, these comics deliver comedy that’s bold, brilliant and hilarious. It’s a weekend that promises nonstop laughter.

A finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh-Off, Canadian comedian Trixx has sold out theatres and shared the stage with Tracy Morgan, Damon Wayans, Cedric the Entertainer and Russell Peters. With his bang-on takes on pop culture, relationships and being Black in Canada, Trixx mixes insight and hilarity with effortless ease.

Joining him is Paris Sashay, a magnetic comedienne whose sharp wit and infectious laugh have landed her appearances on Comedy Central, HBO Max, and the Just for Laughs Festival. Hailed by Tiffany Haddish on her Netflix series She Ready, Sashay brings fearless storytelling and a style that has audiences falling in love across the country.

From New Orleans comes Schoen Favorite, whose razor-sharp observations has already made waves on the southern comedy circuit. Winner of Comedy House New Orleans’ Comedy Knock Out Tournament and creator of the acclaimed Schoen Show, Favorite is quickly rising as one of the most exciting comedians to watch.

Rounding out the lineup is Jay Reid, the Las Vegas-raised comic who first grabbed attention on BET’s Coming to the Stage before winning Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes?. With multiple comedy specials under his belt and a reputation for laugh-out-loud relatability, Reid’s fast-paced humour has captured fans nationwide.

About Trixx

Known for his bang-on commentary on pop culture, relationships and being Black in Canada, Trixx brings boundary-pushing humour to the stage for a night of big laughs, insight and humour. 

About Paris Sashay

Paris Sashay is a comedienne, actor, writer and producer from Washington, DC, currently residing in New York. Her command as a seasoned storyteller makes even the mundane experience feel like an adventure. Audiences across the country fall in love with her infectious laugh, wit, and style.  Nothing can stop Paris’s ascension to stardom. She is unequivocally one of the funniest rising comediennes, with highlighted performances at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, appearances on Don’t Tell, Comedy Central, Pause on HBO Max, and BET 50 Central. Tiffany Haddish mentioned Paris on the most recent season of her Netflix comedy special, She Ready. Her comedy special can be seen on ‘Unprotected Sets on EPIX,’ produced by Wanda Sykes.   

Paris has worked with Michael Che, Dick Gregory, Wanda Sykes, Lil Rel, and Roy Wood Jr., offering her piercing insight on current issues. She’s performed at The Howard Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Caroline’s on Broadway, Hollywood Improv,= and The Comedy Store and is a regular at The Comedy Cellar. 

About Schoen Favorite

Schoen Favorite is a dynamic and charismatic comedian known for his sharp wit, relatable humour, and gravitational stage presence. With a unique blend of observational comedy and personal storytelling, Favourite quickly rose to the ranks of the New Orleans comedy scene with his vulnerable yet hilarious takes on everyday life. 

Winner of Comedy House New Orleans’ first-ever Comedy Knock Out Tournament, Favorite wants to show the rest of the country and world that having inspirations such as George Carlin and Richard Pryor is not overzealous! He produces and hosts his show, The Schoen Show, which has rapidly become one of the most sought-after shows in New Orleans. Favorite is showing talent on stage and off, curating shows fans love and comedians want to be a part of. Offstage, he is a dedicated writer and performer, constantly honing his craft and pushing the boundaries of comedy. With a passion for making people laugh and a talent for finding humour in even the most mundane situations, Favorite is quickly becoming one of the most exciting voices in the New Orleans comedy scene.

About Jay Reid

Jay Reid is an American comedian and actor. He started in comedy, performing stand-up in small clubs throughout Las Vegas. Reid came to wider prominence after his TV debut on BET’s Coming to the Stage

This Las Vegas-raised comedian has single-handedly captured the likes of millions after winning Bill Bellamy’s “Who’s Got Jokes?”  His triumph on “Who’s Got Jokes?” landed him his comedy special, L.M.A.O. on the TvONE network. Reid was also on The Ladies Night Out Tour and starred in Showtime’s highly anticipated comedy special, Ladies Night Out Comedy Special. Reid recently released his third comedy special, That Don’t Go Together, on Dry Bar +, with a fourth special coming later this year. 

About Gina Yashere

Gina Yashere is an internationally acclaimed comedian, having starred in Chuck Lorre’s series, Bob ❤ Abishola on CBS, in addition to being one of the show’s co-creators, co-showrunners, executive producers, and writers. 

She can also been seen on Netflix with her own specials, Skinny B@tch, Laughing To America and part of The Stand Ups Season 2. Her TV credits include, The Neighborhood, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Trevor Noah, Def Comedy Jam, Live At The Apollo, TruTV’s Comedy Knockout, Comedy Central’s @midnight, NBC’s The Tonight Show, HBO’s Crashing, ITV’s Married Single Other, The Lenny Henry Show and the animated series, Bromwell High and The Barbarian And The Troll. Yashere came to the U.S. as a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and never left! Yashere is also a published author. Her memoir, Cack-Handed was released in 2021 to rave reviews.
