Directed by the visionary film director, Guillermo del Toro and produced by Canada’s own, J. Miles Dale, The Shape of Water is a romantic dark fantasy that follows a lonely female janitor working at a government research facility during the Cold War in the 1950s. When she becomes dangerously curious about a top-secret experiment in the lab where she works, she finds herself developing a very real relationship with the creature held in captivity.
Presented in partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival, J. Miles Dale, Academy Award-winning producer of The Shape of Water, will also attend to share opening remarks.
