About The Baker Street Victorian Carollers
The Baker Street Victorian Carollers is a group of strolling carollers in the Victorian style. Bedecked in mid-Victorian era garb, they blend their harmonies to bring back memories of Christmas long ago. The name is derived from the address of one Sherlock Holmes: 221B Baker Street, London, UK.
The group’s director, Richard Crossman, meticulously researched and created the costumes. Sir John Stainer and Sir Arthur Sullivan composed the harmonies, lending the group an air of authenticity. Our singers are veterans of musical theatre and opera stage with over 125 years of combined experience.
The Baker Street Victorian Carollers have been featured on CBC and Global Television news and event broadcasts, had their exclusive Christmas specials on Rogers Television and Cable 14 Hamilton, as well as other seasonal events in Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Town of The Blue Mountains, Brampton, Toronto and Markham.
