Overview
Over three weeks, students will learn various approaches to printing on fabric, including open-screen printing using stencils and resists, stamp and block printing and how to paint designs on screens using drawing fluid and filler. These techniques can all be used at home with affordable equipment, allowing participants to bring what they learn back into their hobbies and practices. The class will mainly focus on play and experimentation through sampling. However, the last class will be dedicated to making finished prints on clothing and textiles. Tote bags will be provided, but participants must bring their own t-shirts, tea towels, fabric, bags, etc.
