Empress Mash Up is an all-female reggae jam session featuring two dynamic artists with distinct but complementary styles and variations of reggae, dancehall and R&B backed by an exciting, growing seven-piece reggae band. Highlighting the frequently neglected presence, participation and contribution of women to reggae music at large, this roots edition brings you two distinct female solo artists to create some fusion magic with Rayzalution band.
About Rayzalution
Rayzalution is Canada’s all-female reggae band, and they have been ascending the reggae scene with intensity and style since their formation in 2017. This ensemble hails from the Greater Toronto Area but originated in the city of Brampton, Ontario and consists of Chantel “CeeCee” McKnight (Creator, Band Leader, Vocalist, Bassist & Steel Pannist), Tanziana “Zhem” Stephenson (Vocalist & Lead Keys), Leah “LikkleBit” Stewart (Drummer & Vocalist), Rael Felix (Guitarist & Vocalist) and Aria Zenua (Lead Vocalist).
Rayzalution believes in promoting positive Canadian content while honouring its Caribbean roots and culture through reggae music and its various forms. Their repertoire consists of originals and cover arrangements of classic and present-day reggae hits, all composed to entertain and enlighten everyone inside and outside any venue. The format? Blending exceptional sound with reggae and other Caribbean and Western flavours of music, their live performances promise harmonic appeal and a meaningful and unforgettable experience.

Tasha T spreads strong positive messages across Canada and throughout the world. Always hardworking and committed to her artistic endeavors and musical career, she has contributed to making a difference in the reggae industry as a songwriter, producer, record label owner, philanthropist and artist consultant. Recognized locally and internationally for her musical talent, she has been honoured with numerous nominations and awards. She is a two-time JUNO nominee for Best Reggae Recording for her Real Talk Album and her single “Dem Need More Love”. The Governor General of Canada awarded Tasha T for the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her dedication to her peers, community and Canada.
About Jah’Mila
A JUNO-nominated reggae singer hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, who now calls Nova Scotia home, she is a beacon for Jamaican music and culture in the Maritimes and embodies the spirit of traditional Jamaican roots, infused with elements of jazz and soul. Her journey has led her to tour with renowned reggae acts like The Wailers, Black Uhuru and Groundation to name a few. She has also collaborated with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Nova Scotia honing her skills as a vocalist and a cultural reggae ambassador along the way.
