About

Explore texture and dimension in this hands-on workshop focused on creating textured surfaces through stitch variation. Participants will learn to read crochet diagrams and raised techniques such as bobbles, waffle stitch, basket weave, and other textured patterns. We will also cover essential finishing techniques, including clean edge work and weaving in ends for a polished result.

This workshop is suitable for advanced beginner crocheters who already know chain, single, and double crochet stitches and are ready to expand their skills. All materials are provided, including acrylic yarn, a 5 mm hook, and a darning needle to take home. Minimum four participants required.

Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this rule for safety reasons.

Yes, any cancellations 5+ business days away from the start date of when your workshop begins is eligible for a refund.

Our studios are dedicated to our full-time Artists-in-Residence program; no studio access is allowed outside of the residency. The only exception is participants taking classes, who may only remain in the studio during actual class time.

You must apply for the program, follow the guidelines and meet the criteria required of applicants. This information can be found on our website (Residency Program Information) page. Applications open once a year in January and close in March.

The Craft & Design studios are 18+ only. However, we do have a craft-focused program through our School Visits department that specializes in that. For more information, you can visit the School Visits page on our website.
