About

In partnership with The Second City, one of the world’s most renowned comedy schools, campers will have the unique opportunity to travel from Harbourfront Centre to the nearby Second City Training Centre, completing their camp program in a professional, real-world setting.  

This dynamic camp introduces kids (ages 7–14) to the exciting world of improvisation. Through fast-paced games, imaginative play and collaborative activities, campers build core improv skills like listening, making bold choices and working as a team – all in a space that celebrates creativity and silliness.   

Campers are grouped by age and grade level, guided by experienced faculty who know how to meet young performers where they’re at, whether they’re brand new to improv or already love the spotlight. Together, they’ll explore character creation, physical expression and group-based scenes, learning how to stay present in the moment, support their peers and develop confidence in their own creative voice.  

 Along the way, they’ll also enjoy camp-wide favourites like the Midweek Mashup (where all age groups come together in the John Candy Box Theatre to share their favourite improv games), a laid-back Talent Show and special craft projects.  

Campers wrap up the experience with a fun, low-pressure open house performance for family & friends at Harbourfront Centre on Friday afternoon.

Sending your camper to Harbourfront Centre Camps is easy! With add-on services like Extended Care Program, Meal Plan and Busing, you can rest easy knowing that your camper is taken care of during their entire summer camp experience.

Please note that these services are offered for additional fees and must be selected at the time of registration.
