About

This five-piece ensemble offers an immersive musical journey that bridges deep-rooted tradition with contemporary innovation. Led by director and percussionist Patricio Llovet, El Ceibo reimagines the rich tapestry of Argentinian folk — styles like the elegant zamba, the energetic chacarera and the rhythmic cueca — weaving them seamlessly with jazz harmonic explorations and a chamber music sensibility. Featuring a unique instrumental blend of soulful vocals, guitar, charango, violin and traditional percussion, their sound is both ancient and refreshingly modern. More than just a concert, an El Ceibo performance is a cultural conversation. The ensemble of professional musicians engages the audience through storytelling and education, sharing the social and historical context behind the rhythms and stories.
