We ask students how they would design the waterfront and to consider who uses it. This programme adapts to your needs and explores the endless possibilities of land and water, along with its impact on humanity and nature.

An exciting programme exploring historical and contemporary ecological footprints around the Toronto Harbour and its neighbourhoods.

Education Afloat: Come Celebrate Spring!

HALF DAY FULL DAY

Students experience Toronto’s waterfront through an artistic lens via an hour-long expedition through the Inner Harbour and island lagoons aboard a fully-enclosed, Coast Guard approved vessel. Life jacket drill is conducted prior to departure. Choose from a variety of grade-appropriate activities to complement the boat exploration. Students explore changing land usage and the natural and human impact on the waterfront environment. Call to discuss your options.

May & June only

Students experience life inside Toronto's city halls and Ontario's provincial justice system, attend a court in session at Old City Hall, then discover the historical roots of these institutions on a fascinating walk through downtown Toronto. Students discuss reasons for democratic decision-making and the responsibilities of informed citizens.

Dynamic and full of rich traditions, the ever-changing demography of Toronto is reflected in its neighbourhoods. The smells, sights and sounds of a myriad of cultures are revealed in the gifted hands of our School Visit educators.

Students will uncover the fascinating structures that make up Toronto’s downtown core. Students investigate the link between public art and architecture, and gain exclusive access to the 54th floor of the Miles Van Der Rohe TD Centre.
