The largest children’s literary event in Canada, Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ returns for two days of prize ceremonies, fun workshops, author signings, and other exciting activities that celebrate the shared experience of reading. In 2009, this children’s choice award programme welcomed more than 7,000 students and the 2010 event will prove even bigger! Now included in your ticket price is the chance to attend ALOUD: a Celebration for Young Readers. Join one of six internationally celebrated authors to discover the stories behind their new books; for grades K to 12. Past ALOUD participants include Frank Beddor, Kathryn Otoshi and Jacqueline Wilson. Presented by Authors at Harbourfront Centre in partnership with the Ontario Library Association.

Bibliophiles Grades 7–8 spend a day immersed in the magic of a book at this literary festival for kids. Popular children’s authors talk about their books, take questions and sign autographs. Student groups can come to two author events in a day, or pair one author event with a book-making workshop.
