Toronto Harbour Nautical Centre (formerly Harbourfront Centre Sailing & Powerboating) has a fleet of sailboats, powerboats and yachts to suit your needs. We offer bareboat rental opportunities to the public with recognized credentials or equivalent boating experience. Our smaller powerboats are a great opportunity for new boaters to try out the world of boating with proper safety training provided by our knowledgeable staff.
How To Rent With Us
To rent a boat, you must be over 21 with a current G level driver’s license or over 18 with a Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC). Contact us to learn how to obtain your PCOC.
For bookings which require an experienced skipper or designated boat driver, you are required to fill in a Boating Resume. We can provide a Skipper to sail or drive the boat for you at an additional cost, if needed.

Cancellation Policy
To book a boat more than 30 days in advance we require a 25% deposit. For bookings within 30 days we require full payment. You may reschedule your booking up to 48 hours prior to departure for a $25 fee.
In the event of thunderstorms or winds over 20 knots, we reserve the right to cancel a charter. In the event of any cancellation by either party due to weather, refunds will not be issued. An alternate date will be booked within the season.
Powerboat Rentals
Tier 1 / Inexperienced Boaters / Inner Harbour
To rent a Tier 1 boat, you must be over 21 with a current G-level driver’s license OR over 18 with a Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC). Our knowledgeable staff will give a full safety briefing on all rentals. And ask us about getting your PCOC!

Fresh Water Farewells
We provide private ash scattering services on many of our sail and powerboats, allowing for scenic ceremonies that give you a unique opportunity to say a fond farewell with your closest family and friends.
Releasing ashes onto the waters of Lake Ontario using a biodegradable container is permitted according to Federal, Provincial and Municipal Statute.
The two-hour service includes a captained boat ride to the outer harbour where you will be able to pay tribute to your loved one. Three- and four-hour services may also be available.
