We are currently seeking several reliable, service-oriented and patient Parking Attendants to direct traffic flow, assist customers with payment processing as needed, and monitoring our parking facility to assess and report noted issues to the appropriate staff.
Position Title: Parking Attendant
Department: Finance
Reporting To: Finance Clerk
Number of Vacancies: 3-4
Employment Type: Seasonal/Contract, with an anticipated duration from mid June – September 2026
Hours: Hours of work will vary based on organizational need and may range up to a maximum of 35 hours per week. Work shifts can take place during the day, evening, weekends and statutory holidays
Rate Of Pay: $17.60 per hour
Location: On-site at our lakeside campus in downtown Toronto, supporting our York Quay parking facility at 225 Queens Quay West.
Duties
- Monitor parking garage to assess and report any issues of concern regarding safety and cleanliness to the appropriate staff so that they may be properly addressed.
- Direct traffic flow of incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Respond to customer questions and requests for assistance or direction.
- Assist outgoing customers with payment support at the exit gate.
- Escalate any problematic situations to the Security department or to Head Parking Attendant or to Manager.
Requirements
- A positive and patient attitude to be able to assist customers and provide helpful service.
- The ability to remain calm and focused in order to manage line-ups and interact with potentially impatient/angry customer.
- Good communication skills to provide clear directive.
- Attention to detail to be able to spot and anticipate potential issues related to vehicles or garage facility, and to follow parking guidelines.
- Ability to stand for the duration of shifts, working indoors and also outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with the confidence to direct drivers entering/leaving our parking facility accordingly.
- POS machine, credit and debit card processing experience is desirable.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with rotating shifts that can take place during the day, evening, on weekends and on Statutory holidays.
- The ability to speak other language(s) beyond English is an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the contract.
- Must be able to work on-site at our lakeside campus where our parking facility is based.
