We are seeking two organized, detail-attentive and customer-focused Camps Office Administrators to provide support with camper registration processes, parent and guardian communications, and day-to-day office operations, contributing to a positive and organized experience for campers, families, and staff.
Position Title: Camps Office Administrator

Type of Employment: Seasonal contract, from early May to end of August 2026
Hours Of Work: Starting with part-time hours in May for initial training, changing later to an anticipated work schedule of 35-40 hours per week, taking place from Monday – Friday (training may be assigned on weekends)
Rate of Pay: $19.50 per hour
Work Location: On-site at our waterfront campus in Toronto
Duties
- Assist with camper registration, including data entry, form processing, and record management in CampBrain.
- Support parent, guardian, and caregiver communication via phone, email, and in-person, maintaining accurate records.
- Process cancellations, registration changes, payments, and refunds.
- Verify and communicate daily camper attendance, absences, and travel changes to staff.
- Prepare weekly attendance and camper information lists for multiple camps.
- Support busing administration, attendance procedures, and related technical tools.
- Assist with reports, data entry, and general office operations.
- Organize, stock, and distribute camp supplies and marketing materials.
- Maintain the Camps Lost and Found and supervise campers in the office as needed.
- Maintain accurate, confidential files and records.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Camps Registrar to support smooth office operations and special projects.
- Perform additional duties as required in support of Camp operations.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a field such as education, the arts, administration, or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years previous experience in camp administration, registration, or a similar customer service-focused role is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of a camp’s Duty of Care responsibility to its campers, with a strong focus on ensuring the safety of campers and staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with families, staff, and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and find effective solutions independently, take ownership of tasks, and manage daily responsibilities effectively and with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Professional, approachable, and positive attitude, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving operational needs during the camp season.
- Understanding of and commitment to confidentiality and privacy standards.
- Familiarity with inclusive practices and supporting diverse campers and family needs is an asset.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and experience with registration databases or CampBrain preferred.
- A current and valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification is considered an asset of the successful candidate.
- As a condition of employment, a Criminal Background Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening) is required of the successful candidate. The cost of this screening is to be covered by the incumbent.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the seasonal contract.
- This role is based in Toronto. The candidate must be able to work on site at our lakeside campus.
