Overview
Sorvad Ensemble and master percussionist Pejman Hadadi will accompany Iranian female vocalist Mojgan Shajarian in this innovative musical presentation. Mojgan Shajarian comes from the most prominent traditional Persian music family. She will give voice to Persian poems by Rumi and Hafiz on original compositions by Behfar Bahadoran and Sirvan Manhoobi.
The masterful colorization of the rhythmic compositions by Pejman Hadadi will allow the audience to enter a dynamic world of Persian rhythmic patterns. Sorvad’s music is inspired by the Persian traditional repertoire (Radif) and Regional folk music of Iran. Sorvad’s virtuoso instrumentalists, Behfar Bahadoran on Tar, Hamidreza Maleki on Santour, and Kourosh Babaei on Kamancheh, will bring forth the exciting aspects of Iranian music.
