About Lula All Stars
The Lula All Stars, true to their name, deliver the very best of Lula Lounge, Toronto’s home to live salsa. Featuring top vocalists backed by the cream of the crop musicians, The Lula All Stars showcase original Canadian compositions, many of which are included on their 2015 debut album titled Salsa de la buena. Since 2002 Lula Lounge and the associated not for profit, Lula Music and Arts Centre have been nurturing and supporting Toronto’s Latin music scene by hosting regular salsa and Latin jazz performances, welcoming waves of musicians immigrating from Latin American and especially Cuba. As that scene began to explode in recent years, many new bands debuted and developed on the Lula stage. Lula Lounge is one of the few places in North America that still weekly presents “traditional” salsa bands consisting of ten to twelve musicians. The Lula All Stars are the best of a vibrant roster, guaranteed to fill the dance floor!
