Celebrate Canada Day with Kelly Bado, an award-winning artist redefining borders in music. Having shared stages with Alessia Cara, Walk Off the Earth, and opened for five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo, Kelly Bado brings an unforgettable global sound to the stage. 

Fresh off her acclaimed album Belles Âmes, her music blends African rhythms, soulful melodies and contemporary pop into an energetic and uplifting live experience. Originally from Côte d’Ivoire and now based in Manitoba, Bado’s artistry is rooted in language, culture and connection, bringing people together and celebrating diversity with every performance.

Originally from Côte d’Ivoire and now based in Manitoba, Kelly’s deep-rooted passion for preserving languages shapes her artistry. Through her distinctive sound, she remains an ambassador for musical diversity — bridging generations, geographies and genres with every note. 

Her striking vocals, uplifting melodies, and advocacy work have earned her numerous awards and recognitions, including nominations for WCMA Francophone Artist of the Year 2025; People’s Choice, Breakthrough, and Solo Artist of the Year nominations at Trille Or 2025. Kelly was the winner of the Art and Culture Award at the Black and Proud Gala 2024 and WCMA Francophone and Global Artist of the Year 2021. 

After returning from a short hiatus to spend more time with her two young children, Bado has been showcasing her best work yet, performing songs from her latest, Belles Âmes, and preparing for the release of her next record in 2026. An unapologetic, fresh exploration of musical and cultural expression, the upcoming English album is produced with Chin Injetiknown for his frequent collaborations with DJ Khalil and productions with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Drake, Clipse, Eminem and Pink.
