About ILAM
Born in Dakar, Senegal and now based in Montreal, ILAM has performed at major festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Festival International Nuits d’Afrique and Francos de Montreal. He has also toured extensively across Canada, Africa and beyond. His acclaimed album Néné earned both the 2020 ADISQ and GAMIQ awards for World Music Album of the Year, cementing his place as one of Canada’s leading global music artists.
