About

Known for a warm, blended sound that highlights both precision and expressive depth, their playing often features a rich tonal balance, where no single instrument dominates, allowing the musical lines to interweave naturally.

Audiences can expect clear articulation and refined phrasing, especially in Classical repertoire like Haydn and Mozart. At the same time, they bring a sense of spontaneity and energy, shaping dynamics and tempo with sensitivity to the moment. The result is an intimate and engaging listening experience that feels both polished and vividly alive.

About The Rosebud String Quartet

The Rosebud String Quartet was formed in 2013 in Rosebud, Alberta at the inaugural Rosebud Chamber Music Festival, an annual summertime chamber music showcase in the Alberta Badlands. Comprised of principal players from the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Canadian Opera Company and National Ballet of Canada, the RSQ performs regularly in various Toronto-based series and chamber music festivals across Canada. The RSQ released their debut album with Leaf Music in 2023, featuring chamber music works of Haydn and Mozart, alongside violist Steven Dann.
