About

“When I first saw Searching for You, Darling, in Alleyways, I was immediately drawn to it. From a distance, it carried a lightness, as if inviting you to play a game. But the closer I moved toward it, the more it became something ominous and uneasy, with the playfulness reduced. The Pull is about exploring that space between curiosity and uneasiness. It attempts to capture the tension that I felt when exploring the art work. When composing the music, I explored polarities – loud and soft, fast and slow. The bass clarinet has a depth to it that pulls you in and settles the notes. And just like the song it drags you in and you get to decide if you want to stay.” — Dwight Jones on The Pull
