About Brandi Disterheft

JUNO-winning jazz bassist, singer and composer Brandi Disterheft commands the stage with her intoxicating Bossa Nova Jazz project.

Her new album SURFBOARD features jazz master George Coleman (known for his work with Miles Davis/ Herbie Hancock.) This double threat’s innovative live show transcends us on a rhythmic journey with unsurpassed dexterity on her bass fiddle juxtaposed by her ambient and sultry voice. Bursting out classics from the Bossa Nova 1960s jazz craze of Jobim and Gilberto to the American Songbook, her expressive music is full of irresistible propulsion and ever-surprising rhythmic colours.
