Overview

North America’s top comedians hit the stage for an evening of hilarious stand-up performances. Featuring Ty Davis, Big Irish, and Marlon Palmer in a night of huge laughs, Canadian comedy legend Trixx hosts an Island Soul favourite!

About Trixx

It’s no secret that Trixx is known more for comedy than controversy, consistently hitting the stage with big laughs and leaving the audience wanting more. A finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh-Off, he has proven time and again that he’s not only funny but insightful and multi-talented.

Trixx has been called to stages in New York, Boston and London, England, and performed at the Jamaican International Comedy Festival. Charismatic and savagely funny, Trixx’s talent lies in knowing exactly when and where to push boundaries and establish new limits.

About Ty Davis

Ty Davis is a stand-up comedian, writer, actress and voice-over artist. She is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina but currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland, where she started her comedy career. She’s worked with some of the industry’s top comedians and is featured on season three of Kevin Hart presents: Hart of the City on Comedy Central. In 2019 she won the Comedy Wings competition at the 23rd annual American Black Film Festival. She created her weekly podcast called Lost & Found and hosted The Morning After Show on DTLR Radio for four years.

About Big Irish

“Big Irish” Jay Hollingsworth is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Jay set out to the east coast and honed his craft on the stages in Boston, Massachusetts.

His “charmingly brutal” style has earned him First Place in the March Comedy Madness Competition, the Best of Boston and he was a finalist in the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition.

His many appearances on All Def and multiple stand-up clips have garnered him over 100 million views across YouTube and all social media platforms.

He has had notable appearances on some of the country’s top podcasts such as About Last Night, Robert Kelly’s You Know What Dude, Greg Fitzsimmons Fitzdog Radio and Doug Benson’s Doug Loves Movies

About Marlon Palmer

Marlon Palmer is a Toronto-based actor, comedian, host and YouTuber, originally hailing from Maple, Ontario. Palmer has always embraced his West Indian culture from two parents of Jamaican descent, and it shows in his work. Gathering over two million views on his “Shit Jamaican People Say” series was just a glimpse of what he could create in connection to his island roots. On his channel ThatdudeMCFLY, Palmer produces comedic skits, song parodies and rants and has amassed 176,000 subscribers and 28 million views. His influence and impact on Toronto culture have been seen since, birthing a new type of celebrity in his hometown Toronto.

The internet wasn’t enough. Palmer decided to take his newly acquired skills and bring them to the big screen. He joined AMTI in 2016 and took off immediately, landing seven commercials and a TV appearance on the show See No Evil. Since then, he has done multiple commercials and TV shows.

In early 2017, he created a podcast show called Extra Gravy. The weekly show covers pop culture events that happen throughout the week and interviews with some of the top creatives in Toronto. In just under a year, the podcast has garnered over 1.1 million plays on iTunes and Soundcloud and, at one point, peaked at #1 on the Comedy podcast list. Recently, he’s begun to explore the stand-up comedy world, filling rooms at four shows so far and he seems destined to conquer that arena as well.
