Join beloved Canadian-Mexican singer Amanda Martinez for a joyful Hispanic celebration of the holiday season. Known for her vibrant blend of Latin rhythms and heartfelt vocals, Martinez brings warmth and festive spirit to the stage with a special Christmas program featuring traditional villancicos (Spanish Christmas carols), holiday favourites and Latin-inspired originals. 

Martinez will deliver an uplifting, acoustic set filled with rhythm, soul and seasonal cheer. Whether you’re dancing along to infectious Latin-flamenco beats or swaying to tender melodies, this concert is a heartwarming way to celebrate the holidays. 

About Amanda Martinez

Amanda Martinez is a multi-talented, Toronto-born singer-songwriter and an actor of Mexican and South African heritage, whose music draws on her Hispanic roots. Audiences in Canada and internationally have embraced Martinez. Accompanied by her band of 20 years, she has sold out Ottawa’s National Arts Centre and Toronto’s Koerner Hall and Winter Garden Theatres.  

She has performed internationally too, notably at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Festivities in South Africa, the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, the Dubai International Jazz Festival and in New York City’s Blue Note Jazz Club. 

She has five highly acclaimed studio albums to her credit: SolaAmor, Mañana, Libre, and, most recently, Recuerdo. The album is dedicated to the memory of her late father, Gustavo Martinez, who bicycled from Mexico to Toronto in 1956.
