About The CCOC
Since its founding 57 years ago, the CCOC has grown from a single chorus into six ensembles, reaching hundreds of young people and their families each year through accessible, year-round training in music and drama. The company develops and performs self-produced operas, commissions new works for young voices, presents concerts, collaborates with leading Canadian arts organizations, and engages in community outreach. The CCOC has partnered with Art of Time Ensemble, Soundstreams, Tapestry Opera, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and its choristers appear regularly in Canadian Opera Company productions, most recently La Bohème and The Cunning Little Vixen.
What sets the CCOC apart is its annual children’s opera—the only permanent program of its kind in Canada—which has commissioned over a dozen major operas by renowned composers and librettists.
This season, the CCOC proudly presents its mainstage opera Alice in Wonderland, March 5–8, 2026, at The Fleck at Harbourfront Centre Theatre.
