Overview

Seven acrobats push their physical limits in a mesmerizing show full of live percussion, where the audience surrounds the stage and is invited to participate. A Simple Space introduces the raw reality of physical performance coupled with intimate personal narratives.

Gravity & Other Myths is supported as an organization by Arts South Australia. Gravity & Other Myths is also supported by Australia Council for the Arts.

About Gravity & Other Myths

Gravity & Other Myths is one of Australia’s most acclaimed circus companies and a leader in contemporary circus. The shows focus on an honest approach to performance and on human connection and acrobatic virtuosity.

The company’s first work, A Simple Space, has achieved momentous international success, having performed more than 850 times across 34 countries and receiving multiple nominations and awards. Their most ambitious work to date, The Pulse, was conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic and premiered at the Adelaide Festival in 2021. In a monolithic work of scale, 30 acrobats and 30 choir members unite and divide, becoming spectacular systems and organisms of muscle, bone and voice.
