About
It’s our birthday, and we want to celebrate 50 years in the Toronto community with you – and a big Harbourfront Centre Block Party!
Join us for a live performance by Canadian alternative country band Elliott Brood, family-friendly activities, a chance for you to sing on stage with Good Enough Live Karaoke band, take a free social line dancing class, enjoy delicious street food and drinks and a birthday cake (of course)! We wouldn’t be here without you – let’s party!
Kicking off our block party starting from 12pm, our Vendors Market, featuring food vendors and local crafts by our Artists-in-Residence, will be open to browse and shop.
Harbourfront Centre’s 50th anniversary events are financially assisted by the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund of the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, administered by the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund Corporation. Harbourfront Centre’s 50th Anniversary Block Party is additionally supported by the Waterfront BIA.
About Elliott Brood
Elliott Brood’s songs have travelled the glory of history for nearly a decade. With the stomp and thrash of their early albums, Elliott Brood carved their niche drawing from history and memory. With Keeper, the band’s seventh album, the sound explores loyalty, longevity and the strength of conviction tested over time.
From the Polaris Music Prize short-listed breakout album Mountain Meadows to the JUNO Award-winning Days Into Years, the well-travelled trio of Mark Sasso, Casey Laforet and Stephen Pitkin have created a body of work that is at once meticulous and boisterous, substantial and entertaining.
About Social Line Dancing
From Calgary, Carolyn Jurek has been a line dance instructor for over two decades. Now living and teaching in Toronto, nothing makes her happier than sharing the love of this fantastic form of dance, which is suitable for all ages and abilities.
About Good Enough Karaoke

They have performed more than 1,100 shows together, establishing themselves as Toronto’s premiere live karaoke band.
