About

This weekend workshop covers solid and blown forms, colour application, hot and cold techniques, studio equipment and safety for over three days.

During this course, you will have the opportunity to share the studio space with five other individuals. You will be divided into three groups and guided by our knowledgeable instructors.

The weekend course includes a Friday evening introduction and two full weekend days in the studio.

Heat Advisory: Participants should be aware of high temperatures within the glass studio, particularly in the summer months. As a result workshop dates are subject to change in response to extreme heat warnings.

Unfortunately, we do not keep any course or workshop waitlists.

To take part in the intro to glassblowing weekend, you must be present for the first session, which is dedicated to studio safety training and comfort working with the material. If you can not attend, we can either cancel and refund you or reschedule you for another date if available.

You must purchase a ticket through our website.

No, unfortunately we do not.

For any groups of 8 or smaller, please email craft@harbourfrontcentre.com as we may be able to accommodate you.

Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this rule for safety reasons.

Yes, any cancellations 5+ business days away from the start date of when your workshop begins is eligible for a refund.

Our studios are dedicated to our full-time Artists-in-Residence program; no studio access is allowed outside of the residency. The only exception is participants taking classes, who may only remain in the studio during actual class time.

You must apply for the program, follow the guidelines and meet the criteria required of applicants. This information can be found on our website (Residency Program Information) page. Applications open once a year in January and close in March.

The Craft & Design studios are 18+ only. However, we do have a craft-focused program through our School Visits department that specializes in that. For more information, you can visit the School Visits page on our website.
