This four-week intensive program is designed for aspiring leaders who want to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a camp setting. Counsellors-in-training (CITs) begin with a week of training and workshops before completing three separate week-long placements in various Harbourfront Centre camps. During each placement, they will shadow a counsellor, assist with program delivery and interact with campers as emerging leaders.
The program includes weekly reflection days where CITs come together to share experiences and engage in activities that prepare them for future counsellor roles. They will receive weekly evaluations with ongoing feedback and mentorship from staff.
Upon completing the program, CITs will receive volunteer hours for their placement weeks and may be eligible for an interview with Harbourfront Centre Camps for future positions, provided they apply through our website.

Sending your camper to Harbourfront Centre Camps is easy! With add-on services like Extended Care Program, Meal Plan and Busing, you can rest easy knowing that your camper is taken care of during their entire summer camp experience.
Please note that these services are offered for additional fees and must be selected at the time of registration.Registration opens Tuesday, January 13 at 10am
If you do not have an account on our Registration Portal, you will be required to set one up before registering your camper. New accounts can be opened when registration for the new year has commenced.
