About
Taught by experienced and certified Sail Canada instructors, this comprehensive four-week course builds on the fundamental skills established in the CANSail 1 and 2 programs, both on and off the water. This program is taught to Sail Canada’s CANSail 3 and 4 training standards and focuses on advanced sailing theory and skills. Participants will be required to sail in a variety of weather conditions and prove a high standard of proficiency to pass.
Marine camps occur in Toronto’s Inner Harbour and/or around the Toronto Islands, allowing campers to explore this unique setting under the guidance of experienced and well-trained instructors. Most marine programs will take place outdoors and on water (weather permitting). Quality indoor programming will be provided on inclement weather days.
Note: This program requires a higher level of commitment, as participants will be required to sail in varying conditions outside of camp hours and prove advanced skills to earn their CANSail 3 & 4 certificate.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of CANSail 1 and 2 is required for this program.
Registration: Please note that this course is offered directly through the THNC Sailing School. To register for this course, please do so through the Sail Camp webpage of the THNC website.
Sailing campers are under the guidance of experienced and well-trained instructors from our partner, Toronto Harbour Nautical Centre.
