COVID-19 Response and Cancellation Policy

COVID-19 Response Effective April 1, 2022

The following protocols are subject to change or suspension at the sole discretion of Harbourfront Centre.

The health and safety of our employees and campers is our top priority. We have made the following modifications to our COVID-19 protocols following the Province of Ontario’s guidance:

Vaccination

All Staff, Volunteers (CITS, IITs and Co-Ops), Contractors and Specialists who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine must be fully vaccinated.

For all Campers, proof of vaccination is not required to participate.  As a result of this change, Campers 4 years of age and up are welcome to register.

Masks or Face Covering

Masks or face coverings are strongly encouraged but optional for all participating in Harbourfront Centre Camps.  Please note that all will respect the personal choice.

Screening

To better protect the health and safety of all Harbourfront Centre Campers and staff, please do not send your child to camp if they have or exhibit any symptoms of the following: COVID-19, Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis), Strep Throat, Chicken Pox (Varicella), Lice, Fifth Disease, Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) or any other communicable disease.

Cohorts

Cohorts and capacity limits have been lifted.

Physical Distancing

Physical distancing requirements will no longer be required.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

As a result of this change to our COVID-19 Response Policy, we appreciate that you may choose to cancel your registration.  Please note that any cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to camps@harbourfrontcentre.com prior to 12:00pm April 4, 2022 and will be refunded in full and all administration fees will be waived.

After April 4, 2022, our normal cancellation and refund policy will be in effect:

Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email. All cancellations are subject to a $50 administration fee per camp registration. Refunds for cancellations requested within 10 business days of the start date of your child’s camp session will result in the forfeiture of your camp deposit.  There are no refunds for cancellations requested on or after the camp session’s start date.*

The Senior Manager and Registrar consider refund requests on an individual basis. A doctor’s note must accompany cancellation requests due to medical reasons at the time of the request.

Please Note: For registrations processed by cash, debit, cheque, or money order, your refund will be in the form of a cheque. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks of processing.

*In response to the current challenges presented by COVID-19, we have been diligent in implementing new safety procedures within our organization. We have also modified our cancellation policy to meet new realities; if any changes to regulations or health guidelines prevent us from delivering our programs, you will receive a full refund for the camps you are registered for.
