Have you ever thought about incorporating lighting elements in your Craft and Design work? Kate Tessier will teach you what you need to know to begin doing just that. In this three-session course, you will learn about the palette of components essential to developing lights of all types and how to work with them. You will learn safety tips, how to choose low voltage vs standard voltage, how to solder LED components and how to build your own lights. All materials arer provided and come away with a working kit to start developing the lighting of your dreams.

Yes, any cancellations 5+ business days away from the start date of when your workshop begins is eligible for a refund.
Our studios are dedicated to our full-time Artists-in-Residence program; no studio access is allowed outside of the residency. The only exception is participants taking classes, who may only remain in the studio during actual class time.
You must apply for the program, follow the guidelines and meet the criteria required of applicants. This information can be found on our website (Residency Program Information) page. Applications open once a year in January and close in March.
The Craft & Design studios are 18+ only. However, we do have a craft-focused program through our School Visits department that specializes in that. For more information, you can visit the School Visits page on our website.
