Seasonal Program – Design Your Own Gift Wrap
How can the history of block printing inspire your own pattern making?
Program Description
In this half day program, students will gain an understanding of the block printing process and insight into how artists draw inspiration from the world around them. Students will design a printing plate using foam and then print using a repeat pattern to create their very own piece of gift wrap.
Program Objectives
By the end of the Seasonal Program – Design Your Own Gift Wrap program, students will:
- Discover the rich history of block printing by examining different patterns and motifs from around the world.
- Explore shape and pattern to create a printing plate using foam.
- Print a piece of gift wrap by using a repeat pattern.
