Creative Edge: Harbourfront Centre’s 50th Anniversary Legacy Program

How can we share our legacy through artistic expression?

Program Description

As Harbourfront Centre approaches its 50th anniversary, students will have the chance to consider what legacy they want to leave behind for future generations. Working with our Artist Educators, students will be introduced to the printmaking process and leave an indelible mark for future generations by sharing a significant symbol, image or object, represented visually.

Program Objectives

By the end of the Creative Edge: Harbourfront Centre’s 50th Anniversary Legacy Program program, students will:

  • Understand the role of Harbourfront Centre within Canada’s cultural landscape and examine how works of art, performance and exhibitions can create a legacy.
  • Create a series of prints that feature a symbol, image or object of significance to the student.
  • Use vocabulary related to the printmaking process appropriately.
