Rob Raeside

Rob Raeside completed studies in glass at Sheridan College in 2014 where he was selected as the recipient of the Daniel Crichton Memorial Award.

Raeside has been experimenting with a sculptural series named Summa. Inspired by functional glass objects such as wine decanters and perfume bottles, these forms are stripped of their utilitarian nature then manipulated into something purely decorative.

In addition to pursuing a series of functional work such as drinking glasses and tableware, Raeside is also eager to continue explorations in decorative and architectural glass.

Rob was accepted as an Artist-in-Residence (Glass) at Harbourfront Centre in 2018.
