Strolling Musicians and Dancers
November 7-8, 2009
In 1913, Mexican illustrator José Guadalupe Posada created a famous print of a figure he called "La Calavera de la Catrina." The image depicted a costumed female with a skeleton face, which has since become associated with the Day of the Dead festival, often in the form of figurines.
Strolling musicians and beautiful dancers will roam our festival dressed as "la catrina" figures in honour of Day of the Dead.
