On the Side of the Road
March 24-27, 2010
Part of The Theatre Centre's Free Fall '10.
A young novelist returns home to confront the murky details of his father’s death.
Part live pop-art, part Canadian gothic, On the Side of the Road takes inspiration from the Franco-Albertan town Lac la Biche, a place of cultural crossroads. A young novelist returns to his family cottage with his Parisian girlfriend to confront the murky details of his father’s death.
Calgary’s Theatre Junction takes Canadian contemporary theatre into bold new directions with a vision that both embraces the traditions of our national consciousness and breathes new life into them. Witness the future of Canadian theatre.
