Welcome to the 4th Season of NextSteps.
Dance is ephermeral by its very nature. It exists in the moment and then is gone, reflected only in our memories or the way it has impacted our lives. Fleeting images, like snapshots, are gone in an instant but often leave an indelible imprint.
As dance in Toronto has developed, so too have Harbourfront Centre's efforts to support and nuture this growing community of Canadian artists with international perspectives. For this year's 09|10 season, we welcome an incredible 23 companies and no fewer than 10 world premieres. Some of the companies are new to our stages; some are old friends making long-anticipated return visits. All offer their own unique vision and creative voice.
