CRAFT STUDIO COURSES

Taught by the Craft Studio Artists-in-Residence, these beginner courses for adults give you hands-on creative expression.All courses take place in the Craft Studio at Harbourfront Centre. Pre-registration is required. Please contact the number indicated for the registration form and class requirements. Fees are paid directly to the instructor. Pottery – Beginners Make cups, vases and bowls on the pottery wheel and by hand-building. Techniques include throwing, coining, slab, trimming, decoration and glazing. 8 Weeks | 3 hours/week

Introduction to Jewellery Learn a wide range of jewellery techniques (piercing, soldering, drilling, filing, polishing, etc) to create samples and finished pieces. 8 Weeks | 3 hours/week

Intermediate Jewellery The next step once you’ve learned the basics. Topics covered include colour, material, chain-making, stone setting and more! 8 Weeks | 3 hours/week

Textiles Felting, silk-screen printing, sewing, quilting, embroidery, appliqué techniques and more! 5 Weeks | 3 hours/week

Glass Blowing This course covers solid (ie. paperweights) and blown forms (cups, bowls, plates), colour application, hot and cold techniques and use of studio equipment. 1 Weekend | Fri – Sun | 20 hours
