HarbourKIDS: SK8!
Get set for another fantastic HarbourKIDS weekend at Harbourfront Centre!
HarbourKIDS is Harbourfront Centre's family programme designed specifically for kids from 5-12. Each edition of HarbourKIDS has a "Big Idea" (see below) that kids can explore and think about as they take part in the activities on site.
And best of all, it's all FREE!
The Big Idea we're exploring for the December edition of HarbourKIDS is SK8.
The second annual HarbourKIDS: SK8 celebrates skating in all its forms and the culture that surrounds it. From skating on the 
Rink to our indoor skateboard park to breakdancing workshops, SK8 keeps kids moving!

The Big Idea: SK8
The SK8 programme provides a platform for kids to explore and enjoy skating and the culture that surrounds it in all its forms. Here's what we’ll be exploring via our programming:
Particip8
Kids are actively involved in a broad range of on-site activities. From poppin' and lockin' with Street Dance Academy to learning to DJ with the Scratch Lab DJ Institute, kids will have a blast getting involved in this year's events.
Some activities that emphasize Particip8: Street Dance Academy Workshop, Scratch Lab.
Acceler8
Full steam ahead! Kids' abilities will accelerate at this festival whether they're on deck or on ice. How fast can they go on the indoor and outdoor rinks? How much speed is needed to send a curling stone down the ice? Kids also have access to professional skateboarders, curling and skating coaches.
Some activities that emphasize Acceler8: Indoor Skate Park, Ice Skating and Curling.
Cre8
Kids can express their creativity with a variety of hands-on activities. They can design a national hockey mask based on the country of their choice or learn how to stencil using skateboarding lingo. A LEGO®-sized version of the 2010 winter games venues helps them envision themselves as athletes or architects.

Celebr8
Kids can let loose and indulge in a variety of special presentations, including DJ Andrew Allsgood with his kid-friendly tunes. SK8 is also the perfect way to remind kids of the diversity and beauty of the winter season.
Some activities that emphasize Celebr8: Kids Skate with DJ Andrew Allsgood and Music with Bite – Orfea and the Golden Harp.
