What is HarbourKIDS?
HarbourKIDS is the name Harbourfront Centre gives to FREE programming specifically designed for kids ages 5–12. The purpose of the programming is to present contemporary arts and culture from a kid's point of view, making it accessible for all ages. For example, each of our summer festivals offer Sunday afternoon kids programming from 1-3pm.
HarbourKIDS programmes are always identified by this symbol
on our web listings and in our weekly What's On programme brochure (available on-site at our Info Desk).
In addition, there are three festivals just for HarbourKIDS each year: May (over the long weekend), October (over Thanksgiving weekend) and December. All festival programmes are also free-of-charge.
The HarbourKIDS festivals aim to engage kids and their families by encouraging their participation in activities that explore "Big Ideas" like respect, fearlessness and community through the lens of arts and culture. These Big Ideas challenge kids’ notions, validate and illuminate their values and ask some questions that aim to ignite imagination, creativity and thought.
Sign up for our HarbourKIDS e-newsletter and we'll send you monthly updates on all of our kids' programming.
